LAS-Chimneys
Concentric Exhaust System Made of Stainless Steel or Plastic (PP) for Room-Air Independent Operation
Concentric exhaust systems with inner pipes made of stainless steel or plastic are ideally suited for appliances that operate in a room-air independent manner.
The TWIN-GAS system is perfect for connecting to decorative gas fireplaces or gas stoves in a room-air independent mode, while the pressure-tight systems TWIN-P and TWIN-PL can be used for condensing boilers.
The air-exhaust chimney, or LAS chimney, operates with two independent pipes. The inner pipe of the concentric system is used for discharging hot flue gases. The annular gap between the two pipes serves as a fresh air supply, providing combustion air from outside to the appliance in a room-air independent manner.
The cold fresh air in the outer pipe is pre-warmed in a counterflow principle by the flue gas pipe, thereby increasing the efficiency of the condensing boiler.
Our TWIN systems, as a closed LAS chimney, do not require a conventional chimney. This allows appliances to be installed anywhere in the building, including in niches or storage rooms, as long as fire protection regulations are adhered to.
