Once upon a time...

As so often happens, the story of the Jeremias Group began with the discovery of a lucrative market gap in the daily work environment. Master chimney sweep Walter Engelhardt recognized, over the years, a steady increase in chimneys in need of renovation and founded a company for chimney renovation in 1970, together with Johann Melzner.

Building on his father's idea, Stefan Engelhardt started producing the necessary exhaust systems made of stainless steel with the Jeremias GmbH, founded in 1984. This laid the foundation for rapid company development and the successful expansion of business sectors and sales regions.

To meet the growing demand in the industrial chimney sector, another company specializing in the construction, production, and installation of steel chimneys, Engelhardt GmbH Stahlschornsteine (SES), was founded in 1992 in Wassertrüdingen.

After opening additional international production and sales branches and the merger of Jeremias and SES in 2016, the current Jeremias Abgastechnik GmbH became one of the world's leading manufacturers of chimney and exhaust systems and continues to actively expand its market position as a customer-oriented company with innovative and high-quality product solutions.

Unlimited Collaboration – Jeremias International

Since its founding, the philosophy of the Jeremias Group has been characterized by a strong yet careful expansion approach.

In the early years, the group grew gradually and built an international sales network over time. As the locations increased, so did the number of employees. By 2013, the Jeremias Group already had over 1,000 employees. Today, we have nearly 1,400 colleagues around the world.

With numerous production sites, branches, and a vast network of sales partners worldwide, we can guarantee our customers optimal service and constant, location-independent availability.
